Copper Kitchen is the proud Australian distributor of fabulous FALK copper cookware, Europe’s finest, crafted in Belgium.
We love fine food and the very best of copper cookware.
On our regular trips to my partner V’s Belgian home town, we take great pleasure in the many delights of Belgium. The local food culture is always a particular highlight. V’s foodie family (which includes a chef, supplier of premium food and wine and trout farm operator, and some keen home cooks who strive to outdo each other) delight in cooking multi course banquets of local specialties in season.
Think of fresh grown tomatoes stuffed with brown shrimps, white asperges (asparagus) a la flamande, foie gras quickly seared in a hot copper pan, slow roasted haunch of venison, steak and hand cut chips, accompanied by carefully matched fine European wines and traditional Belgian beers.
These family feasts are lovingly and skilfully created and are cooked in beautiful FALK copper cookware. FALK copper pots and pans hang on the walls of the family kitchens and are on the table as striking serving dishes.
As a keen foodie myself, I love the beautiful food, of course, as well as the majestic FALK copper cookware in which it is prepared.
On my first visit to the FALK factory in the village of Wespelaar, I purchased my very first FALK; a 28cm copper frypan. We love using it and it still looks as good, and cooks as well, as ever.
The FALK copper pots not only look wonderful, but by virtue of the unique cooking qualities of copper, and the craftsmanship of FALK, are an essential ingredient in these family banquets.
